Get to Know Edward

Edward Aligula is a husband and a father of three. But provide him with a platform to share the Word of God and you will experience what is in his heart. Many are persuade to know and follow Christ through the profound Bible lessons delivered by Him. 

A graduate of Africa International University, Edward holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He also has a Bachelor’s degree from Hope Africa University and he is passionate in serving God’s people all over the world by helping them to know the truths of Scripture and encouraging them to experience these truths practically in their own cultural contexts by the power of the Holy Spirit. Currently, Edward is a pursuing a PhD in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction at Africa International University.

In addition Edward partners with likeminded individuals, churches and Christian agencies across the globe. The Great Commission ministry was founded by him for the purposes of reaching out to God’s community everywhere in the world as a way of fulfilling the mandate of Jesus Christ so that the world may know Him and experience His saving power.

The Great Commission also equips believers in sound Bible teachings and encourages them spiritually. Edward continues to inspire the youth and orphans with his intriguing personal story full of challenges and successes.

Special Valentine this February 14, 2022

  Special Valentine Upon the execution of Bishop Saint Valentine on February 14 in AD 269 in Rome by Emperor Claudius II, St. Valentine entered into the Catholic Church calendar to be celebrated as a martyr. He was beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off on allegation that he was secretly officiating Christian weddings in the prison and supporting persecuted Christians. Prior to his martyrdom, St. Valentine drafted a letter to his jailer's daughter whose sight had been restored by him. He signed off the letter with the words: "From Your Valentine."(Roman Martyrology, Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 2001, p. 141). Reflection Questions: 1. Why do we celebrate Valentine Day on February 14? How significant is this day in our lives? 2. How can we compare our love for others to that love of St. Valentine towards the persecuted believers? 3. Can we see the image of Christ Jesus in the love that we express towards our beloved ones on February 14?
