HOLY WEEK

Holy Week is a significant period in the history of a Christian's life. It’s crucial to remember the events that unfolded during Jesus’ passion and death. As we reflect on the cross, let us remind ourselves

Isaiah 49:15-16
15

“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
    that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
    yet I will not forget you.
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
    your walls are continually before me.

When Prophet Isaiah conveyed this message to Israel, they were going through a perilous situation in exile in the land of Babylon. It looked as if God had forgotten the Israelites. The message should ignites hope for the exiled Israel and us today.

Application

Let us ask ourselves again what it means to go through perilous times. Currently, the horrible coronavirus has attacked the church indirectly. The hope we have is that God has not forgotten about us. He has revealed Himself in Jesus’ suffering and dying. Through the suffering and His his death we are saved.
